Ze kwamen beide van een ander werelddeel: Bobby draagt Afrikaanse baggage bij zich, Mozambique, Malawi, Tanzania, S\u00e3o Tom\u00e9, Pr\u00edncipe en Zuid Afrika, waar hij werd geboren. Paula keerde terug naar de Alentejo nadat ze de wereld had rondgereisd als toerist, vrijwilligster, producent en regisseur voor de Portugese televisie. <\/p>\n

Ze ontmoeten elkaar op een klein eiland, in de atlantische oceaan. Op eiland Pr\u00edncipe was er liefde op het eerste gezicht, en een kleine hut…letterlijk! Tubara\u00f5 (\u2018haai\u2019), hun trouwe hond, was hiervan getuige. Samen droomde ze van een stuk grond in Portugal, een plek die hun mee kon nemen naar de Afrikaanse savanne. Ver van de stad, maar toch in de buurt van beschaving. Een plek die omarmd zou worden door de zon, van \u2018s morgens tot \u2018s avonds, door het geluid van de vogels, en de zuivere lucht van Puro Alentejo.<\/p>\n
